Why do i get heart/chest pain when scared?

I’m a 15 yr old and when I get scared really bad why does it hurt? The first time this happened was last year around October. The bus driver jammed the brakes and I thought something bad was going to happen(If you know what I mean). This happened around 7:30am and the chest/Heart Pain last for about two hours later. Thank you for the help!

Anxiety and stress can cause chest pain. There are also other causes of chest pain, such as heart disease, musculoskeletal issues (pulled muscle), lung issues, and heartburn. Heart disease is uncommon in someone your age unless you have a known heart condition or a very strong family history. Fear leads to a surge in adrenaline, which increases the heart rate and the strength of contraction. Some people with heart disease can develop chest pain as a result of the increased workload of the heart, which is known as angina. I doubt this is the case for you, but I would suggest you get a basic evaluation by your doctor to ensure that nothing more serious is occurring. Good luck.
